Most of these lyrics were a poem I wrote for creative writing class in college, 17 years ago. Wow that’s so long ago, time flies, enjoy it!
Lyrics
You might be down but you’re never out until it’s over and it ain’t over till it’s over
All we need is a little relief, a little sunshine to turn over a new leaf
Words like winter cold wind whipping and stripping leaves off your bark
Is the crackle and crunch they feel at their feet worth they’re forever obsolete?
Because trees regenerate for generations and a mighty forest we will be, a force you can see like a city set on a hill
Now spring is coming around with that turtle sound
Who knew who they left out at the right pace
The chlorophylling up, overflowing to the whole body
Water balls fall between cracks of our bark, down to the root
Sparking new life like it always has, sparking new life like it always will
